"Rating" in cached event details xml

would it be possible to add the "Rating" to the cached epg event xml inside the scheduled recordings?

Season and episode were added into the metadata. Genre is unlikely to make a return, for reasons I've given in the past.

That would have great when I was really keen on making a Video plugin I might resurrect a renamer.

Nevertheless, I can't seem to get this to work though the metadata looks the same as before. Is there an edit stopping these from going to metadata? My ratings are in the math format ie 2.0/4.0 and currently my Seasons and Episodes are zero.

What EPG source are you using, and what does the it look like in the source data? There is several different formats, and it may not support the one your EPG source is using.

I use whurlston's utility that makes an XMLTV file from VMC. I do pre-process the XMLTV to only have star-ratings and the rating is in npvr.dv3 and I use it for searching movies in SearchLite.

For rating text, the app will store whatever is in the xmltv file. It doesnt try to parse or format it in any way.

For season and episode, it does try to parse the common formats that I've found. If you can post the format used by your xmltv files, I'll check if it's being parsed.

Are we talking the same thing? I thought the change for alibert is supposed to copy ratings which are there in the epg_event table to the event_details meta field in the scheduled_recording table. I didn't notice a change when I tried Record/Quick Record. I do have some Season Episode values but not when they are 0.

Yes, thats what it was supposed to do. I just double checked the code, and I can see why the rating field didnt work. I've fixed it for the next build, but since it'll require 3 updated files (.exe and two .dlls) I wont post it as a patch.

The season/episode are different though. For those fields, what exactly do you have the EPG_EVENT table prior for this show prior to scheduling the recording, and exactly what method did you use to schedule that recording?
