Crash during channel scan and 0-byte recordings

Hi

I have during the last couple of weeks experienced failed recordings. Recordings that are recurring recordings and have worked previously.

One program that I record for my daughter is Mythbusters on Discovery Channel. That has failed quite a few times. And last night Top Gear failed to record.

It only gets a 0 byte recording file left. And in the logs it seems to lock the signal and reports OK.

Then I tried to scan for new channels to see if something was wrong. And it looked to work BUT at the end (at least it did not scan any more) it crashed with the error :

There is a known bug in the scanning mechanism if you are using multirecord and softcam, a temporary solution is to turn off multirecord while scanning and turn it on again afterwards. That said, your failing recordings may be due to the channel changing OID or SID. A new scanning may fix it, if you manage to scan without crashing.

Sorry for the lack of information.

I use FloppyDTV cards (DVB-C with CA-modules and smartwii for card- share). So no multirecord. I also tried to delete all channels on one card and scanned but that also resulted in error.

Have you tried to temporarily rename your database so npvr starts with a fresh one?

No that I have not ried. Am not at home right now but will try that.

It might be worth seeing if unplugging your CAM during scanning helps?

I have now tried both suggestions. First a clean DB but it still crashes when the scan finishes. I then removed the CAM on both cards and retried, same result.

Sorry for that, it's not the complete app that crashes. It is the scan part that creates six or seven error-messages. Perhaps it is a .net-error?
After I press OK on the error message I can continue with the scan. I start to suspect that the 0 byte recordings are unrelated to the scan issue. The reason is. That I have had a couple of successful recordings on channels that has previousley failed.

Sounds just like the issue I had with the previous versions of npvr, before it started carshing completely if multirecord is on (in 2.0.3).
