Winfast PxDVR3200 H analogue in

Hi

Just curious if anyone has had any luck with the PxDVR3200 H analogue in.
It's hardware compression and has component as well as svideo in.

I have some experience with an older Leadtek tuner card.

By all means use component or perhaps s-video, unless you want to lose quality.

Winfast PVR2 can be nasty, if don't get picture, try all video inputs. (Although I used an s-video cable, I only got something with the input set to component)
I case of s-video, the cable also can be an issue.

Here's the filter check log if anyone would be kind enough to give me a hint on what I need to add for the analogue in (specfically looking at the component, listed as YRYBY and the svideo inputs)

Thanks johnsonx42, I can now get composite and svideo working which is a big step.
I can't select the component (YRYBY in the filter check log) as it's not listed.

Is this something that sub would have to look at? As I'm guessing that he's using generic input options for analogue cards.

The way it enumerates the available input options is part of the code, and would have to be looked at by sub; unfortunately last I saw he is away on business, so you'd have to bump this thread in a week or two when he's back.

Yeah, sorry it wouldnt support YRYBY. It only supports composite/svideo for analog devices. It'd need some special code to support that.

Just a follow up question Sub, are we on the right track in thinking its an input enumeration issue? Given that card output stream is sd mpeg no matter what input is selected and generic programs like graphstudio can select the YRYBY input ?

There would need to be some changes in the configuration screens to add "component" as a an input source option, and some changes in the capture plugin to route the YRYBY pin on the crossbar if the user had selected the 'component' input option.
