Blackgold tuner

I have searched hi and lo and found nothing to help.

I have installed a Blackgold bgt3620 under Windows 7 ...

but it doesn't appear in NPVR ...

What am I failing to do ?

Visit the Settings -> Devices screen, then post the npvr.log and I'll take a look.

Ooops. I should have attached a log to the first post. I'm out of practice at posting.

But, there is nothing in the log. I don't get why Device Manager can see it but NPVR cannot. I have tried Media Centre and that can't see it either.

I'm stumped. Thanks for looking at it. I can feel a snotty email to Blackgold coming on.

I dont think the drivers have installed correctly. There is no sign of the normal BDA filters for the tuner.

Agree drivers are not installed properly. Make sure you have the 8.1.0.0 drivers. The DVB-T(2) tuners in my BGT3620 are recognised fine by NPVR remembering the analog tuner needs the SOFTPVR components installed first.

Thanks. I am using the 8.1.0.0 drivers. When I allow Win 7 to install the drivers, I get a Blackgold empty device in device manager so I "force" an install by following post #194 at
http://www.avforums.com/forums/home-ente...ard-7.html

I'll try some more fannying about tomorrow ... different PCIe slot and so on. Thank you.

I would make sure you used the drivers uninstall/install process (and install check info) from the Blackgold support site. I did not need to do anything special on my Win7 system.
