not finding any channels with hdhomerun

win7 64bit -patched up + latest stable hdhomerun firmware
npvr 2.0.3

looks to me like several channels with quality=100 are found, but the gui doesn't show any recognition of this.

What do you have set as your application in the HDHomeRun setup?

GB-PVR (seemed like the best option) and hdhr quick tv as t previewer, is there a more correct setting?

I could swear I read a thread awhile back where the application needed to be set to "Other".... with it set to GB-PVR, it didn't work.

Also, please check, double-check and re-check your firewall settings, or disable it completely. When the log shows good signal lock, but no data being processed, that almost always indicates a firewall is blocking the communication.

edit: yes, here's a thread where two people have your problem; one was fixed by setting the Application to "Other:ATSC/QAM", the other was fixed by unblocking the communication in the firewall(s): http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...can-issues

Aha, yes making the windows firewall settings match the hdhomerun apps fixed the issue for me. Didn't realize setup didn't do this.

The hdhomerun setup sets the firewall for gbpvr.exe and pvrx2.exe but it's not been updated for nextpvr.exe/nrecord.exe yet.
