Is it possible to add "windows screensaver" to screensaver options? Then there would be a host of options available from windows. I liked GBPVR plugin that allowed this option.

I'v solved this by creating two batch files (ScreenSaverStart.bat and ScreenSaverStop.bat) and setting npvr's screensaver to Black. The first .bat starts the windows screensaver (in my case DreamAquarium.scr) and the second kills the screensaver process (I'm using pskill). Voila!

sounds great - does it work automatically?
Can i be rude and ask for copies of the batch files? I am not quite that literate with programming.

I'd be interested in that too... both the "official option" and the bat files.

Attached are the .bat files, they'r really simple. Now, when the windows screensaver kicks in, NextPVR.exe loses focus, but most screensavers are terminated by esc key. If you are using HIP )or similar) you'll need to define the screensaver program as an application to HIP and map the Back key on your remote to esc to be able to terminate the screensaver when you want to go back to NextPVR.
I use pskill, the pstools can be downloaded here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysin...s/bb896649 Good luck Edit: Place the .bat files under Scripts in npvr's data directory. "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy"

Hmm.
Running windows 7 here. Cant find screensaver files in windows. Also my NPVR does not seem to have a data directory or scripts.

Ok Got it - win 7 .scr is in system 32 - full path needed. Also it asks for settings each time unless you write *.scr \s in the path. Now just need to call the batch file from nPVR. Not sure how to do this.

Ok Got it all working. For windows 7
First Need to configure windows screensaver as you like using right click on the screen. Remember the name for opening*.scr file. When working to your liking, set it to none. 1. Install batch file in nPVR Data folder (C/Users/public/NPVR/Scripts. 2. Edit batch file For complete path to the *.scr file (In windows system 32 folder) Can open system 32 and search the name of the windows screensaver you like. (You can open windows screensaver to see what your system has available) use the switch /s (with a space) eg. C:\Windows\System32\DreamAquarium.scr /s Set npvr screensaver as you like. NB Escape or "back" with remote stops windows screensaver but need to press again to escape nPVR screensaver. Hope this is useful.

Great you got it working. Foe DreamAquaruim the /s switch doesn't seem to be needed so I was not aware of it.
