I use xmltv and the RT site which often means very verbose description text which gets cut off in the event details popup so I'm trying to adjust the popup in the EventDetails.xml.

So far I've started by widening it and have been able to move logo, title, subtitle, description over towards the left but I can't work out how to move the buttons (Close, Quick Record, Record etc).

I found the 'PopupButtons' element and adjusted its X-value in the same way as I'd done everything else but they still occupy the same 'physical' position on the screen.

Is there a way I can move them over to the left? At the moment, because I've moved everything else, they overlap the log, title etc to the right.

Cheers,
Brian

Funny I just moaned about not being able to move etc. the popup buttons per skin to sub recently Wink

You have to do the positioning for them in the global.xml, but remember this also moves them for all other skins that use the left popup buttons.

The popup buttons get their starting position and size from the definition of the "PopupLeftButtonNormal". It'll first look for these button in EventDetails.xml, but if it's not defined there, then it'll fall back to looking in global.xml for them.

Thanks - I'll experiment.

I haven't tried changing it yet, but why didn't you mention that the other day when I moaned about not being able to get it to work??

What is at the top of the default EventDetails skin is

<Element name="PopupButtons" location="9.83,30.9" offset="0">
</Element>

not "PopupLeftButtonNormal" so that probably explains why I could never get it to work.

I dont know what that is. The app doesnt use it. Its some left over from Hairy's original skin.

It was actually in your original default skin right from the beginning & because of that I never thought to check the element name for it against the popup buttons element name in global.
