Hi,

I am evaluating nPVR at the moment (currently SageTV user, but you know the problem :madSmile

nPVR crashes when scanning my channels (DVB-S, Astra 19.2°E, 2 x TT connect S-2400) -> see Log1.

After restarting nPVR I went to Settings/Channels and again got a crash -> Log2.

I installed 2.0.3 with Patch R1.

Any ideas?
Regards,
Oliver

I havnt looked at the logs yet, but does it always seem to be scanning the same frequency when the crash occurs?

Oliver,

If I read the logs right, it's crashing on one of those french transponders. I have been there. I haven't bothered with sending sub a full TS capture to get that fixed. If you can do without the french (encrypted) stuff, you should try a reduced channel list. They are located in (on xp) C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Application Data\NPVR\Tuning\DVB-S. Place the attached file in there, it's the one I use for most of the german channels. Make sure you select Astra ...6_11 for scanning and see how it goes.

I started a new channel scan, again NPVR crashed, but as far as I can see from the log it is another frequency as before, see attached log.

Thanks for that, I tried it but again I get a crash, log attached.

Are you by chance using a multidec plugin to descramble these channels?

No, just two TechnoTrend S-2400. No plugins at all, NPVR is very new to me, first want to get the basics to work.

If you create a c:\temp directory, and reproduce the problem, does the c:\temp\crash.mdmp file get created? If so zip and attach it.

Thanks. Unfortunately I was unable to get the info out of that crash file.

Can you replace your existing NPVRTSMon.ax file with the one attached, then reproduce that crash again, and post the new crash.mdmp file?

You'd probably want to backup the original file first. We're very late in the release cycle, and I'm not 100% sure that new version is compatible with 2.0.3 (I think it is though).
