Sorry, I wont be doing this.

Your deadpan responses just crack me up, sub! People sure do get demanding for software that's free, huh?

All I meant by "Unacceptable!" was: this is serious to me, and if it is not fixed I'd be forced to find another PVR solution (free or not). It's not a demand. It's just a statement of how important it is.

As far as not hibernating, I noticed after updating GBPVR my computer had this sympton (would no longer hibernate), and I saw an earlier post in this thread which stated that after going to the latest version the person's computer wouldn't go into stand-by and GBPVR was doing something every 2 seconds, followed by sub saying that is fixed but not until the next release. ???

I did fix a log message that is written every two seconds. It wasnt anything directly related to hibernation, but it may be stopping your machine going into hibernation through the fact it was writing to the disks regularly. As I mentioned earlier, the work around is to change the logging level to 'Info'.

Alternatively you could also kill GBPVRTray.exe, which will also stop this message being generated.

Putting the log level to "Error" did fix the problem for me. Now it hibernates again.
Thanks Sub!

I appear to have lost my volume level OSD via the MVP with this release....they were there with the last release but now I don't see them....the volume works just no OSD dots. I have tired a few different skins with the same result.

The volume level OSD on the MVP isnt generated by GB-PVR. Its generated by the actual MVP software running on the device. I'm guessing you've updated your Hauppauge MVP software??

Quote:Problem #1.

I've seem that happen to me also today and a couple of times the volume level OSD is gone and GBPVR is just showing nothing but the volume gets turned up and down.
GB-PVR has never shown a volume level OSD. The hauppauge dongle.bin had some logic that did this if the volume changed, but I think they've removed this in the most recent release.

Quote:Probleme #2.

OSD Time Level Bar is showing 0:00 for a show that has 0:45 mins! I get nothing and the GBPVR just reboots on MVP end. No I didn't update any software for MVP. I have to do it again just to get it showing right and then sometimes it just won't play the MPEG2 file.
Was the file recorded by GB-PVR?

Sub....I belive you are correct......I had upgraded the MVP Software several weeks ago when the latest Beta came out.....however, I never upgraded the MVP itself.

I had an issue the other day where I couldn't get the MVP past the loading program stage.....and I started the MVP services and unplugged/plugged back in the MVP. That's when I inadvertently upgraded to the latest beta.

Now that I uninstalled the MVP software and reloaded the last version and unplugged/plugged back in the MVP the Volume OSD is back as well as much better sound.

Thanks for pointing out where this OSD comes from....at least with this release. Big Grin

I did try just loading the dongle.bin file into the GBPVR dongle directory but the MVP never gets passed the loading application stage.....is dongle.bin the only file from the Hauppage directories that should be in there? I would prefer being able to load the base code there rather than having to mess around with starting/stopping services and such.
