Try creating a c:\temp directory, and setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\LogFileWriter=1 (DWORD), then reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the c:\temp\file-writer.txt
I have c:\temp. I created the registry entry and crashed the program several times. I rebooted and crashed it several more times. The "file-writer.txt" file never appeared in the directory. I double-checked my registry entry.
I applied the patch. This is looking very promising. I let it run for 15 minutes and there was no crash. It's never run even close to that long before.
I am noticing a minor video quality issue. I wouldn't describe it as choppiness or stuttering but it seems like it is dropping frames every so often. It's subtle but I'm pretty sure it's there. I will be putting it through it's paces tomorrow because I'm too tired to keep at it now. Thank you so much for your help so far! I was getting very discouraged the past week or so.

I'm pretty sure this will be related to video decoders, or something similar. NPVR doesnt play much part in this type of stuff.
