Live TV gives Black Screen with only audio on HD Channels

I´m having this problem with NPVR (and the same setup worked flawless on the last PVRX2).

I can record and playback without problems, but when I try to watch livetv on a HD channel, I only get black screen WITH perfect audio.

Analog channels work fine.

I´m using the MS Video decoder, but tried using PDVD11 with the same result (DXVA on and DXVA off).

Tried other renderers (VMR9 and Overlay).

The system keeps responding, even give me the "right click" menu.

Here are 2 logs, one for the LiveTV error and the other playing a Recorded Show.

I´m in Brazil, video is H264 1920x1080i and audio AAC LATM.

Does it help if you set the audio renderer back to the default, instead of the Realtek AC'97 you currently have selected?

Still the same issue. Realtek AC'97 is my defalt audio renderer anyway.

And to have audio on brazillian tv broadcasts, we need to use a patched version of monogram decoder, which I have attached.

That file plays here with audio using the Divx HE-AAC decoder and ffdshow but it does seem to have some errors.

Good to know. I tried Divx HE-AAC decoder for the audio. It worked but didn´t solve the problem.

The signal quality here isn´t very good right now (rain), maybe that´s why the file seen to have errors.

Live tv didn´t show image, only audio. Then I copied the buffer and played it inside npvr with audio and video.

I can see why the problem happens. The database says the video type is MPEG2. This is only important for live tv. With recordings it can work it out from the file that is already on disk. With live tv it has to assume the video type from the database is correct when chosing the video.

If you can delete your channels and rescan, then post the npvr.log, I'll check why it thinks it's MPEG2.

I edited npvr.db3, changed the service_type to 134 and the problem was solved.
