Hi

I am new here and excuse me if this has been discussed elsewhere (just too much stuff to read in one go).

Is there a way to turn on/off the DVB stream subtitles using a hot-key (ultimately by remote)? Ctrl-X seems to only turn on the teletext subtitles.

Thanks in advance

Nope, at the moment only ctrl-x to turn them on. You'll have to stop and resume to turn them off, but maybe sub can make ctrl-x toggle subtitles?

When you press Ctrl-X, it first looks for a Teletext subtitle. If none were found, then it looks for a Teletext subtitle. If none were found, then it looks for a Closed Caption subtitle. If none were found then it looks for an SRT subtitle.

I have modified it slightly for the next release, so if subtitles are already visible, then Ctrl-X will disable them. ie, toggle on/off.

Thanks sub,

Toggling of the subtitles would be very usefull indeed.

But the remaining problem for me would be that I seem to get both teletext and closed caption subtitles on all the programms (UK). I prefer the closed caption ones.

The only way I can select close caption at the moment is to use a mouse and not a remote to select it as pressing ctrl-x always turns on the teletext subtitles. I think A second hot-key would have been useful or a selection menu?

A selection menue would be welcome, occationally I want to select danish subtitles as the norwegian subtitles sometimes are very poor.

Or just cycle through all the options with each key press and display what's happening on OSD.

I've added a popup for the next release.

That is great sub,
thanks.

BTW, I am having a bit of a problem with DVB subtitles on the BBC HD/ BBC one HD channels.
Selecting the teletext subtitles work, but when I select DVB subtitles nothing appears. I fairly certain that the program contains DVB subtitles because the EPG says it does and nPVR gives me the option to switch it on.

Other channels are all ok. Does anybody know if there is something wrong with BBC HD/BBC one HD DVB subtitles?

Cheers
