We have recently got DVB-T over this side of the hill & I just got had a phone call asking me if NextPVR should be able to record DVB-T & DVB-S at the same time on a system that has a HVR-4000 & a HVR-3000 in it, my answer was it should. So my question is does NextPVR correctly know that the 4000/3000's can only record one style at the same time?? If so I will make sure I get some logs to post soon'ish as currently it just crashes when the DVB-T recording\live TV starts while it is recording DVB-S.

It should do this fine. Post the logs and I'll take a look.

I have a HVR4000 and it doesn't know that it cant use the DVB-T and S at the same time - if one is in use when a recording on the other starts, it attempts to use the second but causes the first to stop working... the recording then fails with no devices available having broken whatever the first tuner was doing. If you have two cards, you need to make sure the device priority is set so that it'll use the second device before it attempts to use the other tuner on the HVR4000. If you have the priority set for the other HVR4000 tuner, it'll not know it cant use it and will try.

Run filtercheck.exe, and post the filterchecklog and I'll take a look.

I've recently stuck in a spare HVR-1100 for DVB-T, so use the HVR-4000 for DVB-S and the 1100 for T. I've disabled the 4000 T tuner to stop it trying to use it when the S tuner is in use. Do I need to remove the 1100 before running that filercheck to get the result you want? Or just enable the 4000 T tuner?

No, you dont need to remove the 1100 before running filtercheck.

The best I can do at the moment is my filtercheck.log from GB-PVR for my server that has two HVR-3000's in it along with a pile of other analogue tuners if that's of any help?? Attached just in case.......

Your DeviceRules.xml file already has a 'Hauppuge 88x family' section. Update it to:

<!-- Hauppauge 88x family -->
<Filter name="Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-S/S2 Tuner/Demod" resource="Hauppauge 88x" />
<Filter name="Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-S Tuner/Demod" resource="Hauppauge 88x" />
<Filter name="Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-T Tuner/Demod" resource="Hauppauge 88x" />
<Filter name="Hauppauge WinTV 88x Video Capture" resource="Hauppauge 88x" />

Did you make the change to DeviceRules that I suggested above?
