I have the latest 2.2.6 but this also happened on the older 2.0.3 - then I upgraded but it didnt help -

I have not used NPVR to record a TV show now for months (Summer in Europe - nothing to record) but now the shows are starting again.
When I time record something in the future either one of the following happens:
1. The .ts file is 0 bytes long or
2. The .ts file is some length - often 15:30 but NOT the 2hours the movie should have been.

Here is last nights example I would love some help on. - I have cut and pasted this bit so you can look more closely at the time. So 2309-00:57 but the file is only 15:30 long.

2011-09-02 23:09:01.277 [DEBUG][7] Tuner reports frequency: 189250000
2011-09-02 23:09:01.277 [DEBUG][7] About to switch AnalogRecorder to target:
F:\Movie\Behind Enemy Lines\Behind Enemy Lines_20110902_23100055.ts
2011-09-02 23:09:01.283 [DEBUG][7] Temp at 9/2/2011 11:09:11 PM
2011-09-02 23:09:01.283 [DEBUG][7] Started recording (985:F:\Movie\Behind Enemy Lines\Behind Enemy Lines_20110902_23100055.ts)
2011-09-02 23:09:01.289 [DEBUG][7] No C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\ParallelProcessing.bat
2011-09-03 00:57:00.182 [DEBUG][7] Stopping recording (985). Past end time of recording.

Appreciate the help - thanks guys
Matthew

I have now done alot of different recordings, some long and some short (30mins). Some where it starts to record say 1 hour into the future and some where it is an instant start.

All the recordings are either 0 length or are some random length but all are less than 15mins. There is plenty of room on the HD.

No one else is reporting this. Are you sure you've got a good signal? A poor signal (which fails to lock, or drops the lock) could easily account for the symptoms you've described.

The signal is good. It doesnt drop when I watch it live. But I will dig a bit more because I can see the last time it worked was on June 29. And all the time before that. But if there is nothing in the logs then I will have a closer look at the physical setup of my machine and what else I might have installed. But it has been summer so I have ignored this.

It is just weird there are so many that are 0 bytes.

ok I have just done some more checking - you really need to know where to look. So thanks Sub.

Win TV v7 has a nice strong picture but randomly freezes. Then changing a channel up or down says no signal BUT closing the program and reopening it everything is fine until it freezes again.

So it seems to be something with the drivers or the card? Should I remove it all.. reinstall it? Does that sound like a good idea? Or am i on the wrong path.

Yeah, it sounds a bit that way.

By "it" I assume you mean the drivers for you capture device? Yeah,, might be worth a go. You might need to try different versions of the drivers. Either newer or older.

i uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the original that came on the CD but it is still not working properly. Can anyone see from this error message what ***MIGHT*** be causing the error and maybe where I should look as this has just been something that I set up in March and have forgotten until this week - where I noticed it was !#¤%!"#¤%.
