Deleting recordings from PC clients

If you can reproduce it, and post the client npvr.log and server nrecord.log, I'll take a look.

Here are the logs. The client log shows it took ~22 seconds to destroy/close the delete confirmation popup.

To be honest, I'm scratching my head over this one. I've been taking a good look at the logs and the source code, but it doesnt really seem to add up. The client logs show one single call to the remote server is taking 22 seconds, yet the server log messages show that call completing in 650ms. There is any code other than those already surrounded by logging, so at this stage I'm unable to explain where that other 21 seconds is coming from.

Does this happen every time for you?

While you are there I am pretty sure live tv files still are left over when playing from the client.

It deleted pretty much instantly here.

Can anyone else confirm they're seeing the same issue?

Is it happening even time you delete?

Just seems to happen on the first delete after I open NPVR. Subsequent deletes are pretty quick. If I close NPVR and reopen the first delete seems to be delayed again. Also, I only delete after I have played the recording, so maybe this has something to do with it.

If you do some other communication to the server first, like scheduling a recording, does the first delete still have this major delay?

Haven't tried scheduling a recording but it is always after I have watched the recording so it should have communicated with server by then.

Since you are streaming from the T:\ drive, maybe the C: drive on the server holding the database is spinning down and it just needs time to open up.
