Client - Tuner plugins

Sub, is there are any way to remove the requirement to have a tuner plugin loaded on each client? I think some messages from the recording service go back to the client giving an object not set message

I received this via PM tonight which I think is client tuner plugin related

If you get that message on the server it is something else and different from the client error messages. Ah yes you are using a skin that doesn't support 2.2.6

"Using skin: C:\Users\Public\NPVR\skin\BlueRetroVE+\"

You still will need the plugin on the client.

I put it to another skin and try, but the server is on default.

No, sorry I cant see this happening. NextPVR.exe needs to be able to load the capture sources lists, and that includes when it runs on a client PC. It'd be too hard to remove this requirement - it's just the way the app is designed to work.

I can make a modification to tell the user there server has a capture source setup for a tuner plugin which they've forgotton to install locally on the client.

As I mentioned it also happens on the server, so it's likely something else. It only seemed to happen when using networkrecorder tuners but not when using the clearQAM tuners but after testing more I got the same error messages when using the clearQAM tuner only things work work after closing the message, w/ teh networkrecorder tuner I'd need to close NPVR and hope it work on the next try.

Because of all the client junk in NRecord, could you duplicate this on the server and resend NPVR/NRecord logs.

Well good news is I don't get any errors anymore, bad news is all I get is please wait anytime I try tune a networkrecorder channel. I was thinking that since I still had tuner 4 set up w/ Ceton netowrk tuner sharing wizard to my laptop(same tuner set up on networkrecorder) it might causing the problems so I turned it off, I've since tried turning it back on but it made no change. I'll have to check for time in the record schedule on the 7MC system so I can try completely reseting the Ceton and reconfigure it, SageDCT and networkrecorder.

Ok I just tried it from the server, got one of the error messages then after hitting continue it just hanged, tried a second time and got the same.
