Using gbpvr and a Hauppauge PVR350, is it possible to have OSD without TV out from a graphics card?

I'm using a very low profile, and very quite p3 800mhz PC as a PVR in the living room and it has only 2 PCI slots. 1 is used up by the PVR350 and I suspect a videocard may not fit in the other. I don't want to put a monitor in the living room.

Any suggestions?

Yes. I should mention though, some people have problems with the PVR350 causing their PC to lockup.

first:
lockups do/did occur when watching live tv (using the tv out of the 350). very rare (only once or twice (a log time ago)) after a recording has finished.

but with the latest driver (ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/wintv-pvr_250-350/inf/) and since version 0.92.8 of gbpvr they were _very_ rare (even though (afak) sub did not change something particular for this problem.. but hey... i won't complain! *g*).

after this i had a lock about once every two weeks. and only when i switched channels 'to fast'... zappingLTNT in live tv and stuff.

just for the record: since i have a second tuner card (hauppauge pvr-150), 0 (in words: zero) lockups occured.
this may be because mostly the 150 is used (capture device #1)... but even when i tried to record something with both, cancel the record on the 350, go to live tv (so the 350 is used for live tv and not the 150) i could not provoke a lock.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Sub, thanks...
I should have been more specific with my question. I've tried using my setup with my TV and I found that the PVR350 will only display mpeg output on the TV. If I want to program shows to be recorded or view the TV guide, I need to have a monitor attached to the PC.

Every post I read on other (non-gbpvr) forum tells me I need a video card with TV out in order to do PC related activities.

The 350 should display the programmes recorded, the OSD and the general GBPVR window i.e to program recordings through the tv guide

The 350 won't display the windows desktop or give you the ability to play DVDs through GBPVR

Perfect! My primary objective is to use a PVR to record shows thru a Satellite receiver(Dishnetwork) and watch them when I want.

I object to the likes of tivo, sagetv etc collecting info on my viewing habits because I don't believe anything they tell me about respecting my privacy.
