If you feel a sub-forum worked better for you, then let me know. I've created top-level subforums for NEWA and TV Listings, so I others devs are welcome to have the same if they prefer.

Indeed, and I for one also do not like the sub sub sub sub forum approach.

I also think that could be hard for an end-user too! There is some really good stuff and comments on this thread. But these are early days, sub did only start tweaking this 24 hours ago Big Grin

by the way, I see the Wishlist forum's subtitle is still "Tell us what you'd like to see in GB-PVR".

Overall I like the direction of the new layout.

Martin, perhaps your interests might be best served with a simple "MVallevand" forum? I think most users needing support on a plugin know which dev they need help from - the hard part is knowing that a which forum belongs to which dev. To help make things clear you could add a sticky titled "What's supported here" to list the plugins and utilities you support there.

In fact, thinking on it more as I type it, perhaps each active dev having their own forum might be best for all. Not automatically of course, but upon their request as they see the number of support threads warrant a dedicated forum.

That seems to be more like a forum directed at me, I'd prefer that the community members feel freeer to reply.

Along the same lines...
* "GB-PVR Forums Welcome to the GB-PVR Forums" is shown at the top of forums list at http://forums.gbpvr.com/index.php
* "General discussion or non GB-PVR related questions/thoughts" is the description for the General Discussion form.
* The forum footer is "Contact Us GB-PVR Archive Web Hosting Web Hosting Privacy Statement Top" (mentions GB-PVR and has 2 links to "web hosting")!
* "GB-PVR Forums Statistics" in the What's Going On? section at the bottom of the page at http://forums.gbpvr.com/index.php
* The page title in my browser is "GB-PVR Forums".

Ok, I've updated the forum name and it's changed all these.

I dont have any control over the 'web hosting' x 2 links. These are added by the spam-o-matic plugin we're using. I'm not sure why it's adding it twice.

Great stuff sub.

Don't know why spam-o-matic should be doing this but I for one will not complain about that plugin because it has saved many of us from having to mod!

Extra suggestion now.....

Could the whole GB-PVR Documentation thread be moved inside of the GB-PVR legacy Section?

I know some people don't like the idea of moving Plugins/Utilities/MVP/NMT (though for the life of me I cannot work out why not) but I for one cannot see why the old GB-PVR Doc section could not be placed inside of the GB-PVR Legacy section?

Anyone up for a comment Big Grin

cheers

It seems they give away their spam plugin, in exchange for advertising for their hosting services. I'm not sure why it does it twice though.

Sorry, I'd rather just leave it, given we're not attempting to also move all the old plugin discussion, old wish list stuff etc. I dont think it's causing any problems where it currently is, so would be solving a non-existant problem.

Even though many of my NPVR plugins are discussed in "legacy" plugins sub-forum I am happy with the way it is working.
