This isn't specific to npvr, I was just wondering if anyone with a Virgin Media cable installation can advise on internal cabling.
We had a cable system installed yesterday and, to save hassle, I told the engineer to install the cable modem just inside the entry point behind our TV - this is fine as I have internal UTP cabling and a bit of juggling (cables, my own hub etc) means everything is fine. It occurs to me though that I might want to relocate the cable modem upstairs.
So...the modem is attached to a splitter on the main cable using co-ax and F connectors (I think). and I figured it would take a 30m run of co-ax to relocate. Anyone with Virgin Media cable broadband know if that seems like a reasonable run? It seems to me there shouldn't be any major problems but I don't want to fork out for a length of cable and connectors to find out it messes things up.
Cheers,
Brian
