Hi,

I meant to delete the setting for "Data Directory" - not delete the directory on disk. Just enter the configuration page for the tv listings plugin, then go to the "find more" tab, then clear the textbox for the tvdb data directory, click ok. Then restart npvr and try to create a link. If there are still isues, please attach you npvr.log file so that I can have a look.

Yes, that is what I did. I have tried again with same results. See attached log.

This is not a critical aspect so don't worry too much about it. I think I will have to let it slide.

Hi,

sorry, from the logs, I can't see the application hanging or crashing in any way. I'm going to add some logging when creating a link to a tvdb series for the next release, maybe we can then see what's going wrong.

TVHelp,

would you mind to create a tvdb link for a series again using an updated version of the plugin I attached to this post: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post422192

I've added some logging, so if you then attach your npvr.log file again we have a chance to see what's going wrong.

I have tried again with the same results. Seems to freeze up after hitting OK to continue with link. Series info appears to download. Going back into listing does not appear to have linked and selecting more info and TVDB is again necessary.

See attached log.

Hi,

can you please remove the file "C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Plugins\TV Listings\TV Listings_old.dll", as it's causing the plugin to load twice, and try again?

Hi,

thanks for your patience. When establishing a link, something like the following lines should appear in your npvr.log file:

2011-10-22 10:23:29.051 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: Updating link for 'Futurama' to '73871'...
2011-10-22 10:23:29.052 [INFO][1] TV Listings: Updating TVDB link for 'Futurama' to '73871'.
2011-10-22 10:23:29.053 [INFO][1] TV Listings: Ensuring database consistency.
2011-10-22 10:23:29.077 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: TVDB Links are loaded, updating link for 'Futurama'.
2011-10-22 10:23:29.087 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: TVDB Link updated, invalidating cached programmes for 'Futurama'.
2011-10-22 10:23:29.095 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: TVDB Link update finished.

from your logfile, it seems that you don't get this far, i.e. the link creation is not triggered. When selecting "Create Link" for a found series from TheTVDB, do you see the confirmation popup ("This will establish a link between tv shows named 'abc' and the information from TheTVDB for the series 'abc'. Do you want to continue?"), or does it not even show? Or does it "freeze" or "crash" after you select "OK" in this confirmation popup? Are you using the keyboard or the mouse to select the buttons (just recognized that a double-click with the mouse on a button may not work as expected in this popup)?

Yes, I get the confirmation popup, but when I select OK it just freezes there, never closes. I have noticed this is also true for other popup confirmations in recordings (such as updating the recurring recording). I was using the mouse to select the buttons. I just tried it using the keyboard instead, now it closes Ok and I am able to exit the popup. I see the log update as indicated above, but when I go back into TV Listings I don't see the information from TVDB and need to go into "find more" again and select TVDB again..?? See attached new log.

Hi,

I've fixed the mouseclicks on the buttons of the confirmation popup for the next release. After a link to a series has been established, the additional information from the tvdb should be added automatically to the description that is shown in the details popup when opening a programme from guide. But in the special case of the logfile you sent, the plugin was not able to find an episode by its name, so you might try other series and/or episodes as well:

2011-10-25 09:16:16.604 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: TVDBCache: Performing episode lookup: 'Last Man Standing' - 'Last Halloween Standing'
2011-10-25 09:16:16.604 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: TVDBCache: getting data for '75670' from in-memory cache.
2011-10-25 09:16:16.605 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: TVDBCache: No episode matching 'Last Halloween Standing' found.
2011-10-25 09:16:16.605 [DEBUG][1] TV Listings: TVDBCache: Falling back to generic episode for 'Last Man Standing'
