I have a simple, somewhat pedantic request...

I recently had a failed recording, details of which said "No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.". However the problem was pretty simple - the hard drive was out of space. The message could probably be improved easily?

I know in the past that Microsoft error returns can be the strangest things imaginable. ISTR that office applications reported disk full situations as something strange.

I bet something similar is happening with the inner gubbins of Windows

The current message does say "usually". There is certainly other explainations why it might have ended up zero bytes long, like running out of hard drive space, or firewall blocking HDHR traffic from getting to nrecord.exe etc. Unfortunately the app doesnt know why it's zero bytes long, and cant realistically list every possible reason it might have happened.

I guess I was just really suggesting that a small number of these more simple scenarios could have a bit more feedback. But no worries.
