Honestly, its never been on any other menus. I just put this special case logic in the TV Guide and Search screen since these were the only ones I created which didnt have a 'main menu' button.

When I try to watch live TV, I get the message:

Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

I installed 9211 over 9208 and also tried a clean install by removing 9208 first. Both ways gets me the same error.

Sounds like you have a firewall getting in the way of communication between the client (gbpvr.exe) and recording service (GBPVRRecordingService.exe).

Alternatively, the recording service isnt running.

After changing to "Info" and rebooting, it is hibernating. Great!

GREAT update! However, when I go to play a file that is currently being recorded I can't skip forward through the commericals to "catch up". This used to be my wife's favorite feature. WAF is down a point or twoWink

I love the ability to define a maximum number of recordings.

This is still working fine here. I cant think of any reason why it would work for you. Nothing has changed in the this area of the application in the last couple of months.

Hmmm. I noticed, on the progress bar at the top of the screen, the right number read zero when on previous releases it would increase with the recording of the show.

I'll do some more experimenting tonight.

the same problem here, but only when i use software decoding (intervideo noncss codecs). when i use the hardware decoding (pvr-350) everything is fine.
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

I verified it again tonight. If a show is being recorded I can't skip. The right hand number reads as zero with the left hand number accurately showing how much time IN to the show you are.

Possible important notes: This was a new install on top of a clean install of Windows2000 with the newest PVR-150 drivers and W2K SP4, but no other service packs. I downloaded MDAC 2.8 and the latest Net framework 1.1. The only plugin I'm using is Weather.

Everything else on GBPVR works great.

UPDATE: I had two hard drive crashes and in the most recent install I can scan through a currently recording program.

I don't know the cause of my inability to skip forward, but I believe my system crashing and hard drive corruption (Which I may not have mentioned) could be due to installing a 160Gb hard drive on a motherboard without 48 bit LBA support. I assumed that since the BIOS reported the correct quantity and Windows 2000 saw it ok, that I was good to go.

I ran a 48 bit LBA check program that said I didn't have this support. Before I found that out after I exchanged the hard drive (after CompUSA conned me in to a $18 1-year service planWink.

It is just a theory at this point. We'll see. Now the largest partition is 136Gb.
