Thanks Guys for the positive words. I don't use SearchLite much myself but when I do want it I guess I want it to work. To turn on a search that is like the new Search window you can just use the left and right arrows.

Northpole I should thank you too, because the NextBlue skin uses my original design of showing the upcoming time in the list.

I have a quick question, how do we grab the show info and the jpg image off of TVRage if we don't use searchlite?

ImageGrabLite will do it automatically when you schedule recordings, but it will prefer TheTVDB's information.

Just upgraded NPVR to the latest version and now my SearchLite doesn't work. When trying to search for something, I get an error message saying "NEWA may not be started" What does that mean? I tried installing the latest version of SearchLite (1.4 beta) but that does not help.

Try a search and compress and upload your logs and I will have a look.

I am seeing the same issue. My searches don't work post upgrade to 2.3.6 and latest SearchLite.

Searching with the Type = Title only succeeds if the title starts with the search string. As I recall this used to find any title that contained the search string. And it does not work at all if the search string has more than 2 characters.

I believe it is giving the "NEWA may not be started" message when it does not find a match.

I notice that the Type Changes from Title to List each time I run the search. I cant recall if that was normal.

Reading back through the thread I also want to add my note of support for this tool. I run the same saved searches a couple of times a week and would very much miss this tool if it was not there.

I need your logs to debug this. Thanks for your support for SearchLite, with the changes sub made in 2.3.6 it has really helped NEWA and SearchLite for me and I don't plan on dropping it anytime soon.

I had a quick look at the NPVR Setup program and it installs older files then you get on the NEWA link http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...2012-01-16 If you have troubles try to install it first.

I've installed NEWA as suggested. Latest Searchlite crashes when recalling saved search otherwise ok. Previous Searchlite does not crash.
Found this in nPVR.LOG
