I uninstalled old version 2.2.6 and installed version 2.3.6. I clicked on Settings>Devcies>ATSC Dongle Digital Tuner. Then I click on Device Set-up and scan. I find 35 channels. That list is not saved and when I click on Settings> Channels there are no channels listed. This routine worked well with version 2.2.6 so now what can be the problem?

No problem scanning channels here; I've done a couple of scans since 2.3.6 to find a wayward channel.

Did you check the boxes next to any of the channels? It only saves the ones you select. If so, repeat the procedure and post logs.

p.s. I move your thread here because you posted originally in the GB-PVR forum, and your question is about NPVR.

It's probably worth compressing and sending your logs. The database changed quite a bit in this version and depending on how you did your upgrade you might have overwritten the database changes. There is no reason to uninstall NextPVR when upgrading.

If only someone had written a bunch of tech support info telling things like where to get logs, made it into a sticky thread at the top of the npvr support forum, and even linked it into their signature so that it shows up with every single post. Gosh, I wish someone would do that.....

Run "nextpvr.exe -updatedb" then try again, or delete the npvr.db3 file and it'll create new database when you run the app.
