Here's another YouTube video on NextPVR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xn_7KNp899g I really wanted to show off the genre highlighting and channel grouping to the NMT forum I think those are nice new features. Unfortunately I can't show the movie group playback because I used my HDPVR for making the video.

For the LiveTV playback, this video shows why I am so happy with HD video playback on my NMT. One of the things I show is the "Prev Channel" function between the rats and football, its only a couple of seconds. Some of the keystrokes are a bit odd because I moved my NMT and I was not pointing the remote where I am used to.

For those who follow these here's another video of Universe and Netflix (.ca) with PlayOn. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF3Zcpdr2Ko If you wonder what I am doing other than randomly clicking, I am actually trying to find episodes of "The Office" or Madmen, two shows that I haven't seen before. It shows navigating the clunky PlayOn UPnP interface, with a bit of coverart. All the interfaces to other services look similar

The big point I wanted to show is the sometimes long buffering time (there is about a minute for 2:43 to 3.48) This delay is NOT because of the NMT, it plays within seconds of data being delivered, it is Netflix/PlayOn. Often it streams faster, but it is a consideration.

Another thing to try is viewing this as the HD sample full screen at 720p or 1080 on your PC, It gives a pretty good idea of what the SD widescreen PlayOn video might look like.

How on earth peeps have not picked up on the whole extender thing? Apart from the SageTV users who KNOW!

Also my point over on the whole streaming for demand thread thing, somewhere around here

I am sure someone will know what I mean because I don't..... A 6 month old baby has done me in :eek:
