I want my Colossus channel lineup to be identical to my HVR-1600 analog channel lineup but NPVR is assigning new channel numbers and telling the blaster to change to the channel that NPVR is assigning each station instead of using the actual channel of the station. What can I do to correct this?

I ended up adding all of the channels manually. It was the only way I could figure out how to have the correct physical channel number with the same guide info. Then when I went to bulk map them it gave me the option to combine all channels with the same name. Now I just need to make sure all of my HD shows are being recorded with the Colossus by it being the highest priority device.

For my HD PVR, I just imported the EPG and they started mapped to the proper physical channel numbers. I kept the display channels the same too.

Thanks for replying Martin. You have been a tremendous help in the past.

When I imported the EPG, I use for my HVR-1600, to the Colossus device new physical channel numbers were assigned as well as new display channels. It was as if sub didn't want the Colossus channels to be identical in case users wanted them to be completely separate. However there is no way to assign them back to the same physical channel. If I use a different XML guide such as mc2xml the physical channels are good but then the guide data doesn't have certain info such as the new show indicator.

A lot easier way would have been if I had been able to configure the Colossus the same as the HVR-1600 when I went to Device Setup for the card but that wasn't an option either.

I wonder if what I am experiencing is due to the latest NPVR 2.3.6 and what you were able to do was from an older NPVR.

What if you set up the Colossus first, then the HVR-1600 and then merge channels with the same name (in Settings->Channels->Bilk Map ?

That might have been an option if I didn't have the problem of having had to rename all of the channels for the HVR-1600. Schedulesdirect has the channel number as part of the channel name which for me is annoyance since I only want to see the channel number once in the guide. If the channel name has the channel number then the channel number shows up twice in the guide. Therefore adding the channels one by one for the Colossus was actually easier than renaming all of the channels. Also I have some of the channels remapped so certain types of channels are together in the guide. I haven't tested the new option of Channel Groups but since I already to that with remapping there doesn't seem to be a need to do that.

Martin, are you using the same lineup and same guide data for the HD PVR and the HVR 1600 or are they different lineups?

I use the same SD lineup that I have configured online for importing yes. I even have used this same lineup import with firewire with Network recording, and the fixed channel number stays the same. The numbers match the file that is in SD.xml for my lineup.

I wasn't the only one with trouble after all. I finally found the fix. It was one of the patches, specifically #4. Correct wrong channel numbers being imported into HDPVR channel list: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showthread.p...931#post428931
