Hi Sub,

When playback the chinese characters filename media files with MVP, MVP reboot. The error log attached for your reference

What was the file name?

The work around is to use an english directory/file name.

The filename is auto generated from the EPG. Is there any solution to auto rename the recorded file and provide a mapping between the renamed filename and the chinese character EPG.

Not sure if there is anything that can be done for Chinese support in MVP. I have also this problem that Chinese EPG generates chinese folder names and files names and these files can't seem to be play via MVP.

It seems to me that the original MVP software support Chinese folder/file names with no problem and therefore I see a chance that this could be fixed.

Other than recording generated by Chinese EPG. Music with Chinese names seems to have the same problem and cannot be played via MVP.

It is just this little bit and MVP will be perfect in this part of the world where we use Chinese.

Just sent you the MP3 file via email that has name in Chinese. Although being a file in Chinese name, it is in fact an English children song I rip from my baby daughter's CD.
