Adding a VCR asca channel

When i used to use GBPVR a few years ago, i had an analog Hauppauge card. I set it up so that the video-in showed up as a channel. I then used it to capture old VCR Cassette videos by doing a manual recording. It worked a treat.

Now i'd like to do the same with NPVR using a Blackgold card but I'm not sure where to start. Can anybody provide me with a few pointers?

You do pretty much the same thing in NextPVR.

If you're not using a Hauppauge device, there is a few extra steps for getting analog devices to show up though. See http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...alogDevice

After that, you can setup a composite/svideo channel, and schedule manual recordings etc, just like you would have in GBPVR.

No worries. If you get the analog device working, post the AnalogDevices.xml section and I'll add it to the master file so others dont have to in future.

well I could be suffering with complete muppetry, but i can't get my device to show up. I've attached my filtercheck file and analogdevices file along with my logs. If somebody is able to take a quick look it would be very much appreciated. its the analog capture device from the Blackgold card I'm trying to add.

The softpvr components aren't installed, so analog support is disabled.
