Now that I have finally got picture and sound on the Popcorn, my next problem is that the picture is larger than it should be.

My TV is a 1080P full HD , I have tried setting the resolution to 1080P but the picture is too large and when I exit from the NPVR stream the TV displays a serious of colour lines and the Popcorn is more or less hung. Changing down to 1080I appears to resolve this problem but the Menus are too large cutting off the top (no clock or options etc) and I believe that the video is probably oversized.

Is there a setting to control the image within NPVR.

Thanks for your assistance again. Almost at the point where I am about to give up on the Popcorn and purchase a WDlive box to watch HD recordings made from Freeview.

I didn't see a config.xml setting for your MAC addresses which is likely going to be your problem.
Code:
<MAC-0006DC440E1A>
        <MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
        <MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>
        <MVPWidth>1280</MVPWidth>
        <MVPHeight>720</MVPHeight>
        <MVPOffsetX>0</MVPOffsetX>
        <MVPOffsetY>0</MVPOffsetY>
      </MAC-0006DC440E1A>

Overscan will determine if you need to increase the x and y offsets to see the full screen.

For simple file playback when you don't care about the NextPVR interface or LiveTV there are many good alternatives.

Try again, and then compress and upload your logs and I will have a look.

In that test are you saying the PCH hung after playback?

No

It is the size of the menus that is the problem.

I also still have sound problems unless I switch off the TV, Onyko and Popcorn and then switch on TV Onyko and then Popcorn. I did not have to do this with direct shares.

Maybe try these

Code:
<MVPWidth>1232</MVPWidth>
        <MVPHeight>696</MVPHeight>
        <MVPOffsetX>24</MVPOffsetX>
        <MVPOffsetY>12</MVPOffsetY>

Edit: If you return to the NMT menu (with the Power off button) before turning off the monitor and amp you should get sound when you got back into NextPVR, and it should function like it would from a share, It's a known limitation with HDMI and it is not consistent. My two HDMI monitors don't loss sound. You might be able to restore sound by hitting the Eject key and then the Delete key. This does a double reset of the NMT firmware.

The menu is working fine.

I have just watched 45 minutes of Homeland recorded from C4HD.
The picture stuttered violently in some scenes .
After watching it I started it again and the stuttering appeared to disappear.
Is there any method of allocating my PC's resources to this applicating, I have 12Gbytes of memory and a quad core processor.

Also when I press time seak on the Popcorn remote the programme stops, how do you jump to a to a desired time interval.

Regards

Maurice
