Because you've asked about it so many times in the past, I'll confirm the next NPVR release has an archive feature.

I'm not sure. We're not testing it yet. My day job has been getting in the way of NextPVR development time.

While I know sub has said he has included an archive function into the next release I have a "feeling" (based on past experiences & I won't know until I see what has been added) that this archiver will still have a place as I "feel" it will (as it is now) go further than sub's one will.

This is (I think) exactly what I was looking for to Archive my shows from My Recordings Dir to "somehwere else".
I miss this from XRecord.
I say "I think" because I am not sure how to do this; can someone give me an example of what to fill in? I'm sorry, I really did not understand the readme.

The "Commands" option is for running a batch file ie. transcoding & stuff like that & I haven't played with it yet, Examples of my settings for "Filters" & "Locations" in the screenshots attached.

Would it also be possible to request that it goes to another Menu Like "Archived Shows", as well as moving the file location on disk? This would greatly reduce clutter in the Recordings menu. Ta! k.

This is exactly what "it has" & the settings in the "locations" screenshot I attached shows (& what I "feel" will be missing from sub's one).

OK I added the path (is that correct, my screen is different to yours) but there's no menu option in recordings or the main screen to actually select (e.g.) "Archive to Archived Movies" or similar. Sorry if I am coming across as a bit thick here, I just can't seem to work out how it is supposed to work?

tmrt: are you still using NextPVR??

Yes, but I am among those few that have occasional hung ups of the recording service. I believe that this is related with Multidec since there is no problems with unencrypted channels.

Actually I have noticed while doing a JustRetro skin for it there are some display problems on the PC, when I open a directory it displays the list as visible="@controlNotSelected" for everything (that is like there is nothing selected in the list or the buttons, moving onto the button & then back onto the list & the selected item then looks selected)

This must be related to the NMT problem. I am using some trick to switch between different lists which is obviously not working. I have got however some ideas how to fix this.

If you have not forgotten to select the check box in the Settings->Plugins list it is most likely a skin problem. Copy the (NPVR root)\Skin\Default\Files (NPVR root)\Skin\(your skin)\Files.

It (miss)uses the NPVR built-in mechanism to group series. If you check Name2Title in the Location configuration the title of the show will be moved to the subtitle field and the title field will be set to the Location name in the NPVR data base. As a result all the shows within a Location will be grouped in the native Recordings menu.

The nasty side effect is that this will destroy whatever is in the subtitle field, so it does not work for series.

tho i'd love to see the cmd prompts minimized at least if not hidden...
[i have a way to make batch files self-minimized at least]

would love to see some sort of progress bar feedback on copies, even batches could have pseudo progress by reading the window title[which is modifyable in batch]

and as far as the name2title, couldn't you just move the sub-title to beginning of the description?

seems to be working well so far...must use quotes on the variables in params tho..["%fullpath%" etc.]

Thanks! That worked. But I don't see my recordings DIR, nor the location I added to send it to?
i.e. it sees "Videos" from the NPVR "Media Folders" list, but not the recordings dir? D:\GBPVRVids

Looking at your screenshot you are putting the path into the "Command" selection & not into the "Location" selection, there is a pull down arrow besides the top box to change to the Location selection screen.
