Forget what I said. Gigabyte just emailed saying it DOES support 48-Bit LBA. Maybe I DID have a bad hard drive?
GB-PVR (usually newest version) (Love it! Direct access to 45-button Hauppauge remote not working)
WXP SP2 / Cel 2.9Ghz / 512DDR/400 / Intel PERL / PVR-150, Matrox G550, "160"Gb WD 7200/8Mb

Hey Sub,

Small typo in the direct.ini file, the SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO setting for the PVR500 and PVR500 with FM Tuner listings are reversed (the one with tuner is set to 0 and the one without set to 1 when I guess it should be the other way around).

That said, I'm having trouble getting my FM Radio to work (I get sound from TV instead of radio). It was working with either the last version of GBPVR or the one before that (the version where we manually had to add a direct.ini entry for a PVR500 with FM).

Now, a motherboard failure has forced me to suspend PVR activities for the last few weeks until I could get a replacement and rebuild everything from scratch so I may have missed a GBPVR version or two since the last time it was working. The only significant change I've made to my set up since then is the addition of a PVR-150 (means I've got 4 capture devices, a 250, a 150 and 2 500s).

I've tested SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=1 with the 150 and 500 devices one at a time (set one device to FM=1 and the other two to 0 trying all combinations) and I still get TV sound instead of radio. Even tried setting the 250 device to FM=1 and that locked the system (so I definitely know for sure that it's a 250).

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm using the latest PVR150 drivers from shspvr.com (v.2.0.34.23168) if that helps.

Yeah, some else pointed this out a few weeks back. I've corrected it for the next release.

Only one of the two tuners on the PVR500 can be used for FM Radio. Sorry, cant remember which. So when you set up the capture sources, one has to be set to the PVR500 with FM tuner, the other set to regular PVR500. If you dont do this, it can end up using the wrong tuner, and you end up with TV audio.

Yeah, I know. What I tried to say (probably didn't come out clear) was that I've tried setting both 500 tuners to FM=1 seperately and I still couldn't get FM audio. Tried setting the device I think is the 150 as a 500 with FM Tuner just for kicks and that didn't work either.

Not sure if it's an issue of using bleeding edge drivers or not; just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.

- Added FireDTV DVB-S and DVB-T devices to the BDA device support. Thanks digital-everywhere.com for supplying this very nice device.

Does it also support the CI of the FireDTV-S device?

Thanks

I see you have W2KSP4...I had similar problem with drives >137Gig. W2KSP4 does support 48-bit LBA (as did the BIOS), but unless you make the appropriate registry change, it is not enabled. Without it being enabled, W2K will happily chug along until it decides to write something beyond the 137 Gigs... then corruption !! No more booting...
If you don't apply the registry change it will happen again with your new drive if you have partitions >137gig.
Go to http://www.48bitlba.com/win2k.htm for further info.
Regards,
Hasso

Zap2it seems to no longer require a login... Anyway, my EPG will no longer update!

I just tried zap2it here. Seemed to work fine.

I went to their site, and there's no where to login anymore. When I try to update EPG, it say that it's not configured correctly.
