EPG Update Hour Not Functioning

I'm having a problem that EPG Update Hour does not run UpdateEPG.bat in the C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts folder, nor does it wake the computer if it is in sleep mode at the time programmed. No logs in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Logs show activity at the time programmed for the EPG update. The computer wakes OK to record though. The setting is:

except that I change the hour as I test it.

I have noticed that when a recording starts, the NRecord.log does acknowledge the EPG Update Hour

but I don't understand what this is about as it is not at the time set for EPG Update Hour, the script does not appear to run (which it shouldn't do at the time of this recording), and it happens at the start of any recording. At a guess, the "About to update EPG" I've highlighted is probably to update the guide from the existing EPG file, and one possibility for "About to run C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\UpdateEPG.bat" is that this batch file is also run every time a recording is made, in which case I may have a problem with my UpdateEPG.bat, though it runs OK when I open it directly and it doesn't explain why it doesn't run at the set time.

Yesterday I had set EPG Update Hour to 18 to test it but nothing happened when that time passed (with computer left running). Attached is the full NRecord.log for that time (zipped as the text file is too large).

you didn't restart the recording service after changing the EPG update time.

also, you have something wrong in your updateepg.bat; it never finishes, and the epg update process hangs forever.

post the contents of your updateepg.bat.

I should have thought to mention that.... but it's just something I do as a matter of course so I didn't think about it.

about his UpdatEPG.bat file & there has been some talk about permission problems.....

I also have some suspicions on the path "ProgramData\EPGCollectorV020014" as I have never seen EPGCollector install into a path anything like that??

Yes, simple! Just a restart of the recording service was all that was required. Cheers.

I've attached the NRecord log for the successful EPD update and also the UpdateEPG.bat in case you seriously think there is a problem with the batch file as I don't understand most of what the log is showing.

yes, the updateepg.bat ran fine that time.

you should reboot your system though, as you've got socket errors in your log. this usually means there's another instance of the recording service running, even if you can't see it in the task list any more (I suspect the instance of the recording service that got stuck trying to do an epg update on the 21st is still running). your system will not work correctly in the current condition, but it should be fine after a reboot.
