After that, I may revisit creating my own subtitle filter. I would create it so that subtitles would be displayed similar to the OSD. One benefit of this would be that subtitles would then be skinnable (font... location... size... etc.) Another benefit would be that it should not add near the CPU overhead that DirectVobSub does since it would not be decoded as part of the video.
