Hi everyone, first of all here is my question

Is NPVR compatible with ATI TV WONDER HD750?

If it is please continue reading lol

I have analog cable television (NTSC)

when I select the live tv option I get an error (attached as error1.txt)

when I go to settings and check the device list I only get these:

* ATSC/QAM Digital Tuner
* ATI CQAM Digital Tuner
* ATSC/QAM Digital Tuner
* DVBT Digital Tuner

I guess this won't work as those are digital turners and I have an analog signal right? (Yes I works with the software it cames)

I saw that there is a way to add analog devices, I installed the softpvr software and used the filtercheck file I'm attaching that file too as filtercheck.txt, but the issue is that in my NPVR folder there is no analogdevices.xml and it is a fresh installation.

I guess I'm attaching everything I hope someone can help me to get this working.

thanks!

analogdevices.xml should be in NPVR user data dir, not the program dir..
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\NPVR\ on XP, "C:\Users\Public\NPVR" for vista/7...

once you get the analog softpvr installed and reboot, you'll now see an analog device show up in devices which you can setup..
Hardware: HDHR Prime, HDPVR 1212, Raspberry pi2, VFD display w/LCDSmartie

Hi, I installed SoftPVR 2.5 for x64 and rebooted, my card was not detected at all haha.

had to reinstall ATI driver to make it work again.

any other steps? something I might be missing?

I've fixed this for the next release so it'll give the user a proper error message letting them know that they need to setup their channels.

Its probably a case of the device not being in AnalogDevices.xml. You do have that file somewhere. You're probably on XP where it ends up in an awkward place: C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\npvr\logs. The "application data" bit of this path is a hidden by windows, but you can explicitly type it in.

You'll also need to run filtercheck.exe and post the filtercheck.log.

I've found the analogdevices.xml file (windows 7 x64 ultimate)

C:\Users\Public\NPVR

Ok now I'm attaching the filtercheck.txt and the AnalogDevices.xml file with the entry I added (to the bottom) according to the filtercheck file

NO LUCK SO FAR, because I opened Nextpvr and I get the same list.

can anyone check both files and see if what I did is ok?

Thanks!

Can you view your Settings->Devices screen, then post the npvr.log file?

Thanks! I manage to solve it thanks to the names in the npvr.log file, the issue was in the name I used "ATI AVStream Analog Capture" and it was "AVStream Analog Capture"

My bad, I'm scanning the channels right now :'( finally

If you get it working, post your section from AnalogDevices.xml and I'll make sure it's included in the next release.

Hi sub, I managed to scan the channels, but now I only get sound and no image at all, I can change channelsand I now that it scanned ok but I only see a black screen.

Any thoughts? I'm using the default setup

Here's the AnalogDevices.xml file, can you confirm that this is soft_encode? maybe that's related to the screen issues?
