As a new user I have found this forum to be fantastic in having many answers to questions and issues. Many thanks to all involved in making this so! I now would like to use my TitanTV account for EPC but the TitanTV.com site is not helpful and the instructions from this forum are several years old and the files could not be found on TitanTV.com. I hope someone here can help me get the NPVR working with TitanTV. I using NPVR with a Homerun Dual ATSC tuner.

Many thanks in advance!

I've not personally used TitanTV, but if I did I'd start with MC2XML (http://mc2xml.hosterbox.net). Put MC2XML in a directory like C:\MC2XML, then from that directory run the MC2XML program. Select your options in the dialog, and let it download the guide data. It will save your options in the file MC2XML.dat (so on future runs it will just download the epg without presenting any dialogs), and will put the EPG data in MC2XML.xml. If you made any errors, or just want to change options, delete your MC2XML.dat and start again.

In NextPVR, go to Settings->Channels, double-click your first channel, change the EPG source to XMLTV and point it to C:\MC2XML\XMLTV.XML; then pick the appropriate channel from the EPG data to match the channel you chose. Once you've done the first channel, you can do the rest by clicking "Bulk Map". Once they're all mapped, click "UpdateEPG" and NextPVR will load all the shows from your XMLTV.XML file.

To automate the daily EPG Update, in the NPVR scripts directory create a batch file "UpdateEPG.bat":
Code:
cd c:\mc2xml
mc2xml

Finally, on the Misc2 screen set your EPG Update Hour as you like (I use 4am), and NextPVR will auto-update your EPG every day.

ok, well, it seems that MC2XML can't pull down TitanTV data any longer (it tries, but the 30-character id code it uses has been blacklisted by TitanTV). I'd suggest just using the Microsoft service with MC2XML, otherwise following the instructions I gave. Or better yet, pay the small charge for Schedules Direct.

Using either TitanTV or Microsoft's EPG data with NPVR is a violation of their terms of service anyway... Schedules Direct remains the only legal source of EPG data in the US that I am aware of.
