Beyond TV user wanting to use NextPVR...

Hi Everyone,

Been playing with NextPVR and it looks pretty good. I would like to get it working right in order to replace BeyondTV. Here is a brief description of my computer:

HP Quad Core Processor
6GB RAM
1TB Hard drive
Hauppauge HD PVR USB box.
ATI Video Card with 1GB RAM (can't remember exact model number)
Firefly remote
USB Uirt
Blu Ray Drive.

For the most part, I have NextPVR working, it records fine, but it will not change channels on my Starchoice Satellite tuner. Nothing comes out of the USBUIRT. Tried to find USBUIRTSend.exe, but cannot find it anywhere. Not even sure if that is the correct way to get it working.

Anyone have a solution for this? I even got the guide updating with Schedules Direct.

By the way have you tested multi-zone support

I've never tested it - but I can't see why it wouldn't work, you just have to ammend the command file to have Z1 etc in them (from what I can remember)

I know there be from SageTV which are all ready set for zone's support

I have downloaded the files, and put them on my pc. I edited the device.txt files with the programmed codes using lrnhelper program. Then, I setup NextPVR to use channelchanger.exe as the executable. However, it is still not changing the channel. Nothing is coming out of the UIRT. I load up BeyondTV, and it is still changing channels with the UIRT.

I'm sure I'm missing something, just not sure what.

I'm getting so close to getting this working! I'm liking what I see so far.

Upload your logs and we can see what is happening. You need to set the remote command string before you set up the channels so if you modified the control string you might still be using an old one.
