New to nextpvr, problems after install

Hi, I've been pointed in this direction after reading about nextpvr on xbmc forum.

Not having the patience to wait for next release with xbmc support I downloaded 2.5.5 to test. I've run through setup and all seems to be correct, scanning for channels was no problem and it found all my channels. However it has yet to populate epg, and I fail to start live-tv.

The error I'm handed is "unable to find available capture device"

Looking at the log it seems like tuner is working (it manage to scan channels, and I know its working from other software)

However the Nrecord log has some errors I can't figure out.

Do you have multidec enable?

EDIT: Disable multidec and I'm able to watch FTA channels.

I'm not really sure what to suggest on that one. Its most likely being caused by your multidec plugin. What are you using exactly?

Ok, thanks for pointing me in right direction (seems one of the dll files was wrong version I first copy the SSE2 version, now using general version)

still not quite there though, I try recording from a channel, and it creates a file that is growing rapidly in size, but when I try to view it with vlc it provides neither audio or video.

Most likely it's still encrypted if VLC isn't showing it.

I understand, but why is the file growing, is it writing to file even if it cannot decrypt ?

NextPVR writes to the file regardless of whether the packets are decrypted or not.

For sure it's a MD* problem. Anyone know if MDapi_plus works with NPVR
