What does your on channel change plugin do? Is it a script that runs post channel change?

It simply passes the url/live?channel=##&device= string to XBMC.

I'm not really sure what to suggest on that one. You might need to see if you can capture the live tv buffer file on channel change, and see if you can play it by itself. ie, to check if something about the channel change at the start of the stream confused things.

My channel change times are around 2-3 seconds now. Very acceptable in my opinion.
Great.

Quote:In looking at my logs though, I still notice a lot of winsock errors (Let me know if that should be a seperate thread.)

These themselves aren't a problem. Unfortunately the xbmc socket class I used reports an error like this for each read on the (non-blocking) socket when no data was available yet. I might just replace it with my own bit of native socket code to avoid these disconcerting log messages.

I see the small recording light on the HDPVR go on then off, then on again. That sequence is causing the hang. Only a few decoders on the PC handle these recordings. I'll see if the delay option helps, but probably revert to having NextPVR rebuilt the graph.

When you say hang, is that client side, or nrecord.exe?

The light shouldn't go off given I'm not stopping the graph. I guess it could vary between STBs and connection options though. ie, HDPVR with SPDIF might get a severed connection while the SPDIF is turned off by the STB while changing channels. I dont think RCA would do the same.

It's frozen on that screen for a minute after it freezes at that screen. NRecord stops recording almost immediately after the second time the light turns on.

Setting to true and true is better, but I think I need to increase the wait. Sometimes the OSD is just leaving and sometimes I get into this `hung` state on the STB of no video which I haven`t ever seen before.
