No PVR client has been started yet.

Trying to get the XMBC add-on to work but all I get is a XMBC error message that No PVR client has been started yet.

I have:

- Installed the latest version of NPVR
- Installed XMBC from (http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/win32/)
- Added the Add-on from http://www.dotnetdevelopers.net/XBMC/pvr...73ca4d.zip
- Configured the Add-on in XMBC (default settings, I can reach NEWA through 127.0.0.1:8866)
- Enabled Live TV in XMBC
- Then selecting Live TV gives me the error as a small warning triangle in XMBC.

I thought that was it. I also looked through the youtube preview but I could not find that I was doing anything wrong.

Although I am sure I am missing something fundamental.

Can you zip and attach your xbmc.log?

Try this,
1. Disable plugin.
2. Disable live-tv
3. reset database (in live-tv settings menu)
4. enable live-tv
5. enable plugin.

if not working,
reset database again.

if my suggestion don't work, you should enable debug log in system settings, and reupload.

Yep, you'll need to do that. Not enough info in those logs.

I tried this the other day, and I had to back to the NPVR add-on and enable it again after I enabled LiveTV. After that it *just worked*. I was actually pretty amazed that it wasn't more trouble. For me I mean... I'm sure it was a LOT of trouble for sub to make it work so easily.

I followed the same installation steps as agerdin, tried KRA's suggestions, and still no go. Attaching logs - please let me know if you find anything useful in them?

I see you are using todays nighly, there was a API update yesterday for PVR I believe it could cause problems. I would try daily from 25th sep as suggested else on this forum.
