It was paradise, put then Eve listened to the snake. Seriously there currently is a lot still not working in Frodo well so bugs are expected. That is why it is still just alpha with no release date. If you want stability you want Eden. Going back and forth only takes seconds just install only the top two options.

Frodo will still get better and better, and importantly Sub's plugin needs Frodo.

Eden was actually Edin, a region in ancient Mesopotamia where the Anunaki's set up their headquarter after coming to earth, and the snake was a stylised representation of the DNA helix which again was the symbol for Enki (lord of the earth). He and his half sister was the ones that genetically modified the primitive creatures they found in Africa and thus created mankind. It's all in the ancient clay tablets found in king Asurbanipal's library from Sumer, translated by Zecharia Zitchin in his book "The lost book of Enki" (the tablets are in British Museum now a days).

Well, I think I'll stick to the Frodo edition since I'v found a workaround for the subtitles. Cheers Smile

That's easy for you to say. If you have a chance to install Eden stable, I'd be curious to know if teletext works in LiveTV with X-NEWA. (They can be configured on the remote but from the keyboard hit V to enable teletext and up/down arrows for the pages)

Ok, I'll give Eden a try one of this days, most likely this week.

It looks like your file works in the nightly from the 15th too, there is a different look to it though.

I installed the nightly from 15th and X-NEVA works but I can't get the teletext subtitles turned on when I play a recording that has it. If I try to turn on subtitles it tries to download subtitles from the net. Furthermore Sub's plugin does not start when I start XBMC, I tried to reinstall it but XBMC says "Update failed". The option to uninstallit is greyed out. Is there something I should have done that I don't know of?

Are you using the V key to turn on teletext subtitles? It is different from the T for DVB and srt subtitles.

Ah, among the many things about XBMC I don't know :o. Any idea about Sub's plugin?

I guess reading my post #13 would have save a few emails. I don't know how the PVR addon interface handles this, but you wrote earlier that it didn't work. You could have course try it yourself and see.

Sorry I must have overlooked the mention of the V key in that post. Did you not say that Sub's plugin needed Frodo to work? Maybe I'd better post in the XBMC subforum.
