Agreed. This particular presidential campain especially, there is no "best" candidate. We just have to decide which is the lesser of two evils (and this is the first time that I can't decide which one that is).
Being in California, my vote for President didn't count anyway. I've turned off the TV for now, but will probably tune in later on to see how the state propositions go. Some of those will matter more in daily life anyway.

Many years ago I read an SF short story where this whole Demographics/Electoral College/Swing States thing had been refined to the extent that by election day, they could narrow it down to just one single individual's vote. Imagine waking up on election day morning to be told that your vote was the only vote...
Buggered if I can remember the name of the story or who wrote it though...
Just another day or two and the News will be back to normal
My brother lives in Louisiana and he recons that the BBC have more coverage of the Presidential Elections than US TV has - any excuse for a jolly over to the states at the License Payers Expense
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives

Where abouts in Louisiana? Must be culture shock for him, especially if he lives in the bayou.
I'm in the suburbs of New Orleans.
But to the topic, I didn't even watch the returns until it was already decided. I was so tired of all the BS.
They spent 1 Billion dollars on campaigning. Am I the only one to see the ridiculousness of this? How much good could that money have done for those who need it right in our own country?
