Help with firewire Rogers 4642HD box Win 7 X64

I've been reading a little about firewire capture...can someone point me to how to get it to work with the following setup?

Rogers 4642HD box
Win 7 x64
h55m-usb3 gigabyte mobo

I was going to use IR blasting but I'd prefer firewire for both capture and channel change...one less capture card to deal with.

You won't be able to use firewire on a 64 bit OS. You wrote you bought it or $50, I will be happy to buy it from you. If not $50 how about $75?

...I'm going to give it a go with blasting hopefully I'll get it ready for Christmas. I haven't had this much HTPC fun and excitement for a few years!!

That was a good deal and I didn't even test it before buying it!!!
