This has happened several times with many versions of NPVR.
Using MC2XML and TVListings add-ons too.

Here's what I have determined that causes this.

Start with a nice working installation. Map XMLTV sources for each channel. Use individual mapping or bulk mapping. To keep it simple, let's say there are three channels in the pull down lists for channels when mapping. Everything works just fine and program listings are shown.

One day the guide fails to show the TV listings for one or more of the channels.
A look at bulk map shows everything is mapped.
A look at each individual one shows lost mapping for those channels without guide information.

What has happened is that the pull down list of channels now has more channels listed. If the original second one in the list has added a sub channel, or a completely new channel has appeared between the original second and third channels, the mapping for the original third channel is lost.

If the list were longer, say 10 original channels, with the above change, original channels 3-10 lose their mappings.

To fix this requires editing each channel and re-establishing the mapping. Using the bulk map feature will not fix it.

Is it NPVR or the add-ons use of the XLMTV data? I haven't removed the add-ons to determine this.

I'm not aware of any issues that would cause this. Next time it happens, zip and attach the npvr.db3 and I'll see if anything stands out.

Same advice as above. Please try to capture the logs and npvr.db3.

Do you remember what has happened recently?

It might be some type of SQLite database corruption happening. Do you remember any BSOD or unexpected power offs?

It happened. I don't know why. Lost all mappings from WTTE to MYTV as shown in the picture of channels. Mappings before and after those remained. Bulk mapping showed of the correct mappings though I can't edit them there.

The pics zip file has a doc with images of what I saw. The other zip files has all of the other files.

Also, no unexpected power offs.

Regards,
Glen

Additional info: I found that all "lost" mappings were above frequency 25 (of a channel scan). All retained mappings were below frequency 25. I don't receive anything on frequency 25 so I don't know if it would have been retained or lost.

I've had this problem and found that when there are changes in the channel lineup pulled in by MC2XML, it changes the numeric increment that MC2XML adds to the channel name, breaking the link with NPVR's mapping.
What, me worry?

MSI H270 PC Mate | Core i3-7100 | 16GB RAM | 275GB M.2 2280 SSD | 4TB + 2TB HDD | Zalman Z3 Case | Win10
HDHR Prime | HVR2250 | PCH A-110 | PCH A-100 | Harmony 650 & 700 remotes | Comcast | Schedules Direct

This makes sense. My issue with Comcast listings always starts around the 300-400 channel range. When using the HD-PVR with a lot of listings, I just would just clear them all and start over after remapping the smaller quantity of upper missing qam channels manually. Definitely a bother.
