Gentlemen and gentleladies of the land....

My motherboard on my machine gave up the ghost.

I reside in Wisconsin USA and my setup was this:
2 PVR-500 (Hauppauge) cards for a total of 4 tuners. (Current card: http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&...,s:0,i:125 )
I get basic cable (Time Warner) and do not have any set top boxes from the cable company.

I was using GBPVR (not nextpvr) but I would like to use this opportunity to make the jump.

What I need to know is the following:

1) Given my current cable status and not wanting to upgrade from basic, what tuner cards would you recommend? I would still like to have 4 tuners total.
2) The old case this was in is showing it's age and I would like to replace it. I am looking for something of a similar form factor to it. (Here it is http://computercases.productwiki.com/thermaltake-bach/

Thank you for any advice you can provide!

If your PVR-500 cards worked before, they should still work in a new rig with nPVR installed as long as SD TV is all you need to record. I still use my PVR-150 card for SD recording and love it (granted that it's still in my GBPVR setup). If the drivers are installed OK, nPVR should detect them and use them.

I'm not sure what your needs, wants, or price-points are for a media case, but I find my stuff at Newegg and I've been pretty happy with their selection. With the hardware MPEG processing of the PVR-500 cards, you shouldn't even need a beefy CPU. My dual-core Intel Atom does fine with SD recording.
