Just checked, and on my server it works fine. The points you did are ok, however did you also:

1. Checked you can open the URL (http://<npvr-airplayit host>):37218 in a browser from a pc on your LAN (or in case there is a firewall behind have the port allowed)?
2. Did you share the NPVR directories exactely as they are stored in the NPVR database (so e.g. if you use the network mapping //server/dir or e:\dir, tis should be identical to what you entered in the airtplayit mapping tab)

Other than that, I don't see anything you could have forgotten.

2) NPVR and Air Playit directories the same (local not network drives)
3) I can play NPVR recorded videos from Air Playit app (on and off LAN)

I upgraded to 1.28, but still no Watch Recording option. I'm not sure what else to try.

Hi,

Could you please attach:

1. config-web-inewa.xml (in Users/Public/NPVR)
2. screen-shot of the Airplayit website (with URLS of the movies)
3. So you do confirm you can play a particular movie from the NPVR GUI, but not through the iNEWA GUI right?

Yes, I can play a movie through the NPVR GUI but I do not have the "Watch Recording" button in iNEWA (see pic in attachment). Thanks for your time.

Thanks for your work on iNEWA! Great job.

I have a few wish list items:

1) Watch LIVE TV
2) The ability to watch an in-progress recording
3) Be able "time shift" an in-progress recording (ie start watching a partially recorded show with the ability to "catch-up" to LIVE TV)

I'm not sure how difficult these additions would be or if they are even possible? Thanks again for your help.

Well, the streaming of recordings in progress should already be possible with airplayit, the only thing preventing it is that their web interface does not refresh the list of files. Only after restarting airplayit or browsing the directory with their app the directory listing gets refreshed. I posted a question on their forum, but did not get a reply yet. As soon as also the web interface would refresh the listing (or after a manual intervention like using the airplayit app), you would be able to watch inprogress recordings. For the time being, I restart airplayit every night after archiving to my NAS.

Alternatively, I started looking into making the streams from newa more iPod friendly or using a custom windows based apple segmenter, but for the moment I didn't find the time yet to dig a bit deeper into the matter. Keep you posted.

Yes, keep me posted on your findings. Also, I don't see an in-progress recording within the Ait PlayIt app after refreshing or restarting the app.

Would it be possible to put the version of NEWA that is running on the Statistics page? Right now I can't seem to find it anywhere, is there another way to know what version of NEWA is running?

http://ip:8866/public/Changelog.xml gives you the NEWA version
