Can't get channel listings in Hauppage HD-PVR

Hello,

I have a Windows 7 System that has been using MCE with a HD-PVR. I've installed the current version of NextPVR. When I go to devices, it shows the HD-PVR. If I click on settings, it gives me the option of importing channels or adding channels. There does not seem to be any data to import. It suggests the xml file from the c:/temp folder, but there is no file there. I have tried manually adding a channel and that doesn't work either.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I used schedules direct to pull my listing information.

The HD-PVR isn't like a normal tuner card, which you can pull channel list information from.

Schedules direct is freaking awesome, and even has information for my small Canadian IPTV provider.

NextPVR has no way to know what channels are available via the set top box you have connected so you have to tell it. ie there is no way to scan it, or somehow get the channel names from the HDPVR. You can tell it the channels by either supplying an xmltv file, or using schedules direct.

I have added the xmltv data and can get the channels listed. There is no data for programming on those channels and if I select one or choose live tv, I get a black screen with no audio. A signal is sent from the blaster to the cable box, but the HD-PVR does not start up. If I restart MCE, the HD-PVR fires up and I get the program without a hitch. I REALLY want to dump mce and get NextPVR running.

Are you sure you had the inputs set correctly at the time you imported the channels? For example, Component with RCA.

Also make sure you've selected an h264 and ac3 decoder

If you can reproduce the problem and post you nrecord.log and npvr.log, I can take a look.

Here are the logs.

I tried the MS decoder, the xvid encoder and a couple of others with no luck.

The device settings allow me to set composite, but will not allow for the rca back for input. It keeps resetting to spdif.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Install the R1 patch update, plus patches 15 & 16. Then delete your channels and re-import. Things should work better.

installed the patches.

The input still sticks at spdif.

No black screen now, I just get a message that it is unable to find a capture device. Windows 7 MCE still works.
