No TV image - just audio

Silly noob question, but where can I set/control the tv image.
With the default settings I'm just getting a black window, with audio. No TV picture at all :-( Any ideas? thanks

Under Settings->Decoders, have you selected any decoder for mpeg and h.264 video?

They are set to Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder by default.
I've tried swapping to LAV and FFDShow, but presumably I need to install them separately first?

If you post your logs after trying to watch something, we'll be able to see what decoders are actually in use and if it all looks ok (or not). You'll find the logs in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Logs.
