Hi,

I've just installed NextPVR as I'm moving away from MCE to XBMC.

I've installed the nPVR client and searched for channels under device setup, but it only finds 22 out of the 70+ under MCE - and its the five main UK channels that are missing.

Have I missed something?

(Im running W7, the TV card is a USB DVB-T PCTV 80e)

It is possible the .ini file for your transmitter is out of date for transponder changes.
Try setting the tuner to "all countries" "all transmitters" (or similar wording"). This will take a lot longer scanning, but should find them all.
If you find more, then it is time to tell us what transmitter you are using to see if we can fix the ini file for it.

It's possible the frequency files (with tuning data) are out of date for your area. Do you find them if you do an all regions/frequencies scan instead?

What do you mean, "Top Level Options"? I'm having a similar problem. WinTV7 finds loads of channels but NPVR doesn't.

I presume he's referring to the "All Countries/All Regions" selection which I believe is at the top of the list (hence "changed to the top level options"). This just scans all possible DVB frequencies, instead of just the handful used by your local tranmitter.

Selecting "All Countries" could cause problems. UK used PAL I standard which was 8 MEG channel spacing but many countries use 6 or 7 MEG spacing. Far better to select the correct country and "All Regions".
