No audio

Hi have been having trouble getting any audio from npvr on my laptop, all other programs are fine.Problem seems to have started since I used it with a hdmi cable on a big lcd screen, I have set renderer to default, and tried all others to no avail, it was previously working, am using ffdshow or microsoft audio renderer or ac3filter, no type of audio will work ie. ts mp3 mp2 aac mp4, its on win 7 64, its driving me nuts, any ideas anyone??

Zip and post your NextPVR.log after attempting to play a file/TV.

Here you go, I would have posted it before but can't see anything myself(guess thats why I needed help in the first place ).Just a note that I only installed audio adjust today to see if it would help by selecting different audio renderers on the fly.

Check Control panel -> Sound what is set to standard audio device, it might have been set to HDMI.

I have 2 audio devices listed, first 'amd hdmi output' which says 'not plugged in' and 'speakers realtek high definition audio' listed as default device with a green tick.I haven't tried using it with a hdmi cable on tv again to see if its just stuck on hdmi and probably can't at the minute.

Just uninstalled and reinstalled npvr, no difference, so then installed gbpvr and that works perfect using same filters/decoders ,go figure.

looks like hdmi is default try selecting something else

you could try disabling hdmi out to force it to use something else
when you removed npvr did you delete your config file maybe its got screwed up
do you have a different audio decoder than ffshow you can try

Have disabled hdmi out, have tried microsoft decoder for mpeg 2 audio and ac3filter,deleted config.xml but it didnt make any difference so put back original.Have even checked the graph through ffdshow and it looks ok to me,assuming its telling the truth.

If you pull up the windows audio mixer while playing a video in window mode does it show nextpvr
do you have any setting like called "what you hear"
what does it show in the mixer if nexpvr is not there

Those settings only apply to nextpvr ts recordings by the way if you want to playback mpeg or avis you have to get the decoders right playing back in windows
if you use something like graph edit or gspot you should be able to see whats been used then set the merrit
OR reinstall ffshow and it might let you set the merrit
I use K-lite codec pack because it lets me select which decoders i want to use or disable for certain types of files
