If the only problem is mpg muxed recording clearly from outside NextPVR and they play with a graph, then I think you could let Windows construct the graph by changing config.xml to

<ForceMpgGraph>false</ForceMpgGraph>

Just tried that,didn't work, but anyway I get NO AUDIO whatsoever, will try reinstalling audio and video drivers, what I don't get is that gbpvr works fine and I would imagine that they work in much the same way.

It's fixed thanks everyone for your help, i've reinstalled the audio drivers ,and although it didn't work at first with audio renderer set to default in npvr(which is speakers in control panel so it should have worked) it now works when set to 'speakers realtek high definiti' in the npvr decoder settings,and yes I had previously tried every audio renderer in npvr a number of times before reinstalling as for why it wouldn't work before who knows, maybe somehow npvr output was locked to hdmi irrespective of what was selected. Thanks again.
